About Me
The very first time I walked into a TV studio, I felt at home. Now, I am a driven story teller, with more than three years of experience in TV News. I am involved, hardworking and a problem solver. I would love to be an asset to your team.
Work Experience
Multi-Media Journalist KKCO 11 News/KJCT News 8, Grand Junction
January 2019- April 2019
As an MMJ for KKCO and KJCT, I was responsible for producing a package and two VO-SOTS and going live in one of the evening newscasts every day.
Reporter/Anchor/Producer Redwood News
September 5, 2017- December 2019
I worked as a reporter (health and education are my primary beats, but I've covered crime, courts, and other areas throughout my time). On the days I reported I also produced and anchored weekday 5:00 p.m. newscasts (30 minutes), and on the weekends produce and anchor the 6 and 11.
Sunrise (live) Reporter for WTXL ABC 27
When I started at WTXL I produced the daily 6 and 11 newscasts. I would later produce the 5/5:30, and ultimately the Sunrise show (2 hours), and Midday (30 minutes). I also started reporting, and did daily lively shots on my own as the Sunrise reporter. This made me a strong producer (comfortable under pressure), and a confident one-man-band. I set up my own live shots and shot my own stories (vo/sots and packages daily).
MMJ Intern: Channel 12 KPNX
Fall 2015
I assisted MMJ's at the Flagstaff bureau for Channel 12 as an intern last semester. I helped research, set up, and shoot stories, while gathering valuable insight into the daily process of content creation at a bureau for a top 20 station.
Reporter/Anchor/Producer NAZ Today
2012 - present
I have worked as a reporter, segment producer, news cast producer, anchor, and MMJ for NAZ Today, the local and on-campus TV News station since my Freshman Year of College. There I have fallen in the love with video journalism, and producing, as well as the pace of the newsroom. I enjoy the hard work and even at times the high stress and demanding atmosphere that surrounds TV News. NAZ Today will have left me with four years of in the field experience (as NAZ Today is the only TV news station that serves Flagstaff). I have produced TV News packages, and news casts, and anchored. I have conducting studio and field interviews, ran camera in studio and shot video in the field, written and tracked packages and voice overs, cultivated contacts, edited video and more.
Digital Marketing Coordinator/Graphic Design Intern Nackard Beverage
Summer 2015 - present
I began working for Pepsi in the summer of 2015, after returning from studying abroad. I was trained in graphic design and production, and have since helped to produce paper advertisement (banners, flyers, table tents and other signage). My ambition led to my promotion to digital marketing coordinator. Under that title I manage all of the "Pepsi side" social media (Twitter, Instagram, Snap Chat, and LinkedIn accounts) while advising on website development. No replacement was found for my graphic design position, so I continued to fulfill those duties in addition to the ones I took on in the promotion.
Books Associate: Hasting Entertainment
2012-2013
I worked at Hastings until its March 2013 close. There I learned valuable organization and customer service skills.
